Navy League Mission:

Founded with the encouragement of President Roosevelt in 1902, the Navy League of the United States is a civilian organization dedicated to informing the American public and government that the United States is a maritime nation, and that its national defense and economic well being are dependent upon strong sea services. The Navy League sponsors seminars, special topic breakfasts and awards for its member companies.

Read these important messages regarding Sea-Air-Space:

The theme of this year's Sea-Air-Space Exposition, "Ensuring Global Access," highlights one of the most important missions of the U.S. Navy.  Our ability to operate from the maritime domain allows us to project power around the globe without a permission slip. While our sea services operate at the far corners of the earth, we are suported at home and abroad by the Navy League.  Click here for more from the Chief of Naval Operations...

As an ally of the sea services, the Navy League has remained faithful to President Theodore Roosevelt's original charter - to educate the people of our Nation on the importance of sea power.  The Sea-Air-Space Exposition ... showcases the emerging technologies, weapon systems, and platforms that will enable us to continue our warfighting excellence far into the future. This year's Sea-Air-Space Exposition theme of "Ensuring Global Access" appropriately identifies this objective: to ensure that military and commercial vessels can freely and safely transit all navigable waterways world-wide. Click here for more from the Commandant of the Coast Guard...

We at the Maritime Administration salute the Navy League of the United States for seeing that ensuring global access fuels the twin engines of commerce and democracy, and we congratulate the Navy League for recognizing the exploits of the unsung heroes of the merchant marine.
